Students started asking about Banned Books on Friday (because we decorated early) and really started getting into the week on Monday.  They looked at the books on special display and started taking them home.  Our favorite question asked time and time again is, “Can we check these out?”.  Yes.  Yes you can.

Mrs. Myers spent most of the day in Mr. Stuard’s room presenting information about Banned Books Week to his social studies classes.  The students learned the difference between selection, challenged, banned, and censored and discussed why books are banned.
