It may seem like hype.  But book challenges and bannings are a very real part of our society, and they take place every year.  Within the past week, a North Carolina country removed Ellison’s The Invisible Man from school library shelves (and is in the process of re-considering).  So, while our display may seem over the top, it is important to us to show students that they have the right to read.
